SUPERVISION
AN EXPERIENCED SUPERVISOR LIKE NO OTHER
I am a qualified clinical supervisor, integrating CBT, Person Centred and Solution Focused models into my practice, for many years now I have provided clinical supervision to behaviour change practitioners working with clients who display abusive behaviours, to counsellors who provide therapy to clients who have experienced domestic abuse, and to workers who support clients with Addiction recovery and intervention, I have also provided supervision to counsellors who use BetterHelp, and to counsellors who work exclusively with clients who have either sexually offended or been at risk of sexual abuse.
A SUPERVISOR WITH A VAST BACKGROUND OF KNOWLEDGE, WORKING WITH COMPLEX CASES
When you choose me as your supervisor, you are then held by an experienced counsellor who has worked with a diverse range of clients within a variety of fields. Previously I have worked as a Support Coordinator, offering support and interventions to clients experiencing addictions from those who are the most complex and high risk through to low and medium-risk clients across three services in Cornwall, all whilst supporting a team of staff; I have worked as a homeless recover officer working directly with homeless clients with a range of presenting issues and need; I have taken extensive training to work with men and women who have sexually offended, been at risk of sexual harm, and also work with clients who display minor attractions; I have also completed work within the NHS and also within care homes across Gloucestershire.
Today I currently manage the highly successful Change 4U service, managing a team of practitioners who offer an intervention to men and women showing abusive behaviours, in need of a healthy relationship intervention, or partner support; I also manage the Integrated Offender Management Programme alongside Devon and Cornwall Police, allowing us to work with those at high risk of committing a crime, abusive behaviour, or have a history of causing crime in the community. This is a service I am very proud of and is gaining national attention and recognition for the significant positive results we have achieved.
A SUPERVISOR THAT CARES ABOUT YOU
My way of working means I am not only interested in your client work, but also you as a person, for this reason I allow time to discuss how you are doing and anything you are experiencing both within and outside of work. I adopt this approach for two reasons, the first being that our personal lives can influence the work we do whether we are aware of it or not, and second reason being that to sometimes be at our best, we have to be self-aware, from this you can grow, I want you to be the best you can be at your job and your field of expertise.

Having worked in a variety of fields, having the responsibilities held, and connections formed over many years, I have from time to time been able to offer my supervisees these same connections, in addition to work that comes my way which I can then allocate to yourself.
A SUPERVISOR WHO IS CONFIDENT WITH CASE MANAGEMENT
I have worked with a series of case management systems, including Halo, MX, Modus, Oracle and SWIMS, as a part of these systems and good practice I have developed and engaged with good record-keeping, as well as writing notes and letters/ court reports which are required of me from time to time. This may be another area of support you require, or perhaps a requirement of your role.
